honing

now im not sure this question fits this forum, but is honeing the cylinders just cleaning them, them boreing them is when of course you increase the cylinder size?

Cylinders are bored and then honed to final size.

For a cylinder cleanup you would just hone the cylinder, if the motor needs to be rebuilt and you are going .030 over you would bore, then hone.

Yes, but honing does remove some metal and thus will slightly increase the bore.

if i buy the regular sized ones, will this screw up my compression or anything?

are you boring or honing? if you have rust, I would think you will need to bore it out some - if you aren't going to go to radical then stock-type pistons would be fine - check out this site for more info:

They will probably be ok. Only way to tell for sure is to take measurements.
