Piston ring gap and bearing clearances...
I am putting new piston rings in and I'd like to know the gap. My manual doesn't get into an internal breakdown of the motor (haynes) and I can't find a sure fire source online. I came up with this, but I am not sure if it's correct.
Can anybody confirm that this is correct?
TOP COMPRESSION PRODUCTION: .010-.016 IN
2ND COMPRESSION PRODUCTION: .018-.026 IN
OIL RING GAP PRODUCTION: .010-.030 IN
I would also like to know what the proper bearing clearance is for my bottom end and I can't find that anywhere.
