Thanks for the help with this though. I was slightly confused... also why is that there is a different listing for gen II stuff when gen I works?
I have never seen anything advertised as Gen II unless it is for heads or sometimes cam. Pistons, rod, crank have just been traditional SBC except for the 1 piece rear seal, thing.

Summit has listings for pistons that are 350 gen I, 5.7 Gen II, and Both. Same thing for rings. That always confused me.

Are you talking about the kit they have for LT1 specific or just random listings for GenII stuff?

Just get the Mahle Power Packs for SBC and you will be good to go, IMO they are a great value for the money.

I'm running a .027 thick head gasket with the pistons .005 in the hole, the compression is a little above 12:1 and it runs on pump gas without detonation. So there is no need for popups/dome whatever.

no just random stuff. For example the power packs only list as gen I on summit. That is actually the way I was thinking of going BUT like I said gen I only thing had me going.
