Question play in opti shaft

how much is ok just got oem gm and it seems to have about 1mm of play.
i dont want to put it in just to have it run worse than it does now.i already
have code p300 but i pulled the plugs they were a whiteish grey and none
were fouled but i have low rpm miss at 1500 rpm and it surges at idel. and
i changed wires. it runs fine till it warms up then seems down on power.
i only have 2500 miles on new motor.

Every one I have purchased had play. It is only one bearing you know and that bearing has to have play to accomodate heat expansion.
