Plugs and wires...and a slow 96 SS

dumb question... i know but how bad would 70k on stock plugs and stock wires hurt performance....

either there is just a **** load of 12 sec cars in pensacola florida or there really hurting my performance...

the reason i ask is because i was on the way home from work tonight and there was this white civic hatch, i got the jump on him, let off then we both jumped it i was in 3rd ( he was hanging door to door with me) once i hit 4th i started pulling and in 5th i was gone but damn.... i feel like my car is slow sometimes

Tune-up

You need to tune-up your car. change plugs and wires and flush your system radiator and get new thermostat, and oil change. Oh the Granneteli is hurting you trust me take it off and put your stocker back on.

If the plugs have alot of buildup or the pucks are missing which will in turn increase the gap largely, then that will have a noticable effect on the performance. With that mileage, a plug/wire change should be in order.

Using other cars without knowing what mods they have is the worst thing you can do to compare. Three passengers will also throw things out of wack. I agree with getting rid of your aftermarket MAF.

yea i got the iridium plugs and stock wires waiting to go in her when i get the day off ... i do have oil leaking out of the bottom of my opti... maybe its coming from the back but could that be hurting performance..??

oh and i found out that that civic is pushing 250 to the wheels easy with a h22 full head and cams.. so maybe i didnt do to bad. i did hold off a brand new gixxer 600 tonight...

You probably need a new opti cap/rotor too.

you have shorty headers so changing plugs would be easy and there cheap too. go with NGK TR55s, seems to be the plug everyone around the forums recommends.
