here is my ported AI intake, no results yet because the car isnt finished. im runing a twin 58mm on mine though. its not really extensive, it seems they just clean it up and match the CSA to their head.

It makes it harder to adjust the idle, and you might end up with split BLM's. This site explains it. You can see the cast-in idle air passages in the intake as well:
