porting
So i was looking through a few threads and it was saying a lot about porting your intake would give you more hp? is that true? Also i was planning on putting a 58mm tb on my 94 maro but wasnt sure if i would have to get anything ported. so overall question is what do i need to do to run the 58mm tb?

These are basic questions that are frequently discussed on "LT1 Based Engine Tech". Not a topic for "Advanced Tech". I'll move your post to the correct forum.
To give you the answer to your questions, porting the LT1 intake will not increase HP unless you have a really good set of ported heads. In that event, you would have the heads and intake ported together.
Unless you have a have stroker or a high revving 355, you don't need a 58mm throttle body. If you do have a high HP setup, the 58mm TB would help, but the intake manifold TB bores need to be opened up from 52mm-->58mm. If you have an automatic transmission, the 58mm TB can throw 4L60E shifting off enough to require reprogramming.
Why not add a "signature" with the basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans, and major mods. That way its easier for people to help you.
