Porting AFR 195's

My car has AFR 195's from the previous owner. They are supposed to be ported/polished, but judging by the receipts it was more of just a cleanup. One of the things that I was thinking of doing this winter is pulling the heads and having them flowed. A cam swap was in mind for this winter, so I figured that I might just do the heads to their maximum potential and then get a cam that's well suited to them. My question is: Who should I go to for the porting and machine work? I've always heard (i'm FAR from an expert on heads) that the porter needs to have experience with LT1 heads and not just SBC heads for maximum results. Do the AFR's change that at all? I have a connection with a guy who apparently does some awesome work on SBC heads, but I have no idea if he's done an LT1 before. This is a blower application, looking to make as much HP as reasonably possible. Vortech t-trim, should be getting an air-water intercooler over the winter as well. Right now I am pushing 16-17psi of boost, looking for that to either stay the same or I have a pully that created 21-22psi boost on my current setup. If I do not go with this guy, who should I look to for very good work in this application?

This is all pretty much hypothetical right now, just for research purposes. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

I didn't read your sig to see where you were located but there are several companies well capable of porting your AFR's. But have you considered having AFR doing the Super Competition Porting pkg? It's like 450 bucks or so but they know their product and I've heard nothing but the best about their work. I've considered the AFR 159cc heads for my setup but the size stroker I'm going with I want to go ahead and do the AFR220's. I would definitely give AFR a call if I were you. If I can find some names of companies I'll shoot you a PM. I lost all my favorites due to the recent wormblaster virus wiping out my pc. Hope this helps a little. Sounds like a mean setup you have as is.

Wow, I've never heard anything good about AFR's porting. I'd send them to AI or Lloyd.
