potential flow #'s on stock castings?
what's the best flow numbers one can expect for a set of ported LT1 castings? I mean can they be made to flow 300 cfm or is that a little too much.....

Not sure if I've ever seen 300 posted for LT1 heads. I imagine you can with enough $$$.
Have seen several LT4 over 300.

yeah but those heads have a ton of work done to them like offset rockers from where the intake ports were widend.. it can be done but you might be better of with afr's if you are looking for that kind of flow

Why the interest in peak numbers?
I'd be a lot more concerned with the mid lift numbers than peak, unless your car is at the upper end 95% of the time it's running.

I've read in several places that the early ('92 and/or '93) LT1 aluminum heads had more material and could be ported out more.
Anyone ever confirm that?

I do know that 300cfm can be had as said above but lot's of $$$. I think AI has a set of LT4's that peaked at 300+ or so.. But on avg 275's or so out of the intake of a lt1 casting is the norm...
