power steering issue

ok, got mah g-ride running with the 88mm turbo. I ran the car with an emtpy PS resavior briefly(just on jack stands) to check for leaks. well, now I get power steering that is intermittent. when turning it will work, then stop, then work, then stop. etc. it has enough fluid, and there doesnt seem to be any foam in it when I check it.

any ideas?

thanks!

if your belt isnt totaly clean it will slip, make sure its clean and doesnt have any fliud on it, or if its worn that could cause the problem to, i changed my belt and dont have any problems

What you wanna do is raise the two front tires off the ground, fill the PS resivor to the full cold, then with the car OFF turn the steering wheel LEFT TO RIGHT from LOCK TO LOCK like 20 time's.. Then recheck to make sure that the resivor is still full, then your good to go

BTW the engine come's out this week so i'll email you to get your address for those head's

Is the fluid still airated? If you see tiny bubbles in the fluid, you may need to drain and refill (or just wait a long time).

Congrats on getting it together. How does the car feel? Any pics of the completed setup?

Maybe I'm simplifying things, but just sounds like its on its way out .

Oreilly's ~75 bucks with a warranty.

96-
the pump or the rack? I assume you mean the pump.

I will try rebleeding it, and double check the belt.. if still no go, ill get anew pump

intmd8-
seems to run very well, for sure more laggy than my t76 tho. makes boost around 3-3100 or so, as opposed to 2400.

I misplaced my digi cam for a week or so, although I just found it. I will try to snap a few pics this weekend, if everything goes well I plan to dyno it saturday.
