power window conversion

power window conversion
Right now I have the good old manual crank window and I really want to install a set of power window. The kit that I found is just a generic kit that will fit just about any car. I was wondering if anyone has done a conversion like this and how hard it is. I helped a friend do his on a '86 TA when I was about 16 and it wasn't too terribly difficult. Would this be any differant?
All input is welcome.
Thanks,
Jason

Man, I wish I had crank windows. Seriously, the electric camaro windows are no fun. I just replaced the motors and it still takes 7 seconds to go up. If there were an easy conversion, I'd be ALL over it. You could try a search real quick and see if someone else has done it, I know you can...but just don't know the cost.

I found a kit that JCWhitney sales for about $170. Comes with the wiring and all. I think that its just about the same one that my friend used in his car. But that was 9 years ago. His seemed to work great once he got them in. I just don't know of anyone else that has done the same thing. I just want the change because its too hot to drive around here with out the AC on and only one window down. So, I'm stuck using the AC and wasting a couple of ponies. Besides, I like the wind at about 120

Does anyone know if the mechanisms at this web site are the stock parts that come with power windows?
