problem....for instance, put ur car in 6th gear going 20 mph...resembles

whats happening, i just did header install, and in most gears below 2k rpms , after header install, and im runing open headers, it jerks and omg the gear shifter feels like it did b4 i changed my driveshaft from the stock one to the aluminum one (the over 80 mph problem) and it was bad enuf to where i thought i didnt bolt the motor moutns back up, but i checked them and they looked tight to me...didnt jack the motor up or anything but the nuts and bolts felt snug, ...is this normal for the shifter to actualy be jerking hard after a jet hot longtube install? open headers...any help is aprecaited --thanks alot

If you're saying that at low RPM's the engine has a huge vibration, then odds are that you've got a misfire, either burned a plug wire or one's not hooked up. I'll guess cylinder #5

Seems to be the most common one to burn on a header install, but no particular reason other than that.

It doesn't go away, you just can't feel it at higher rpm's.

I burnt up #7 after my header install but it felt more like a hesitation and there was no "shaking" of the shifter.

I bet it's a burnt plug. Mine was shaking like crazy, found a burnt plug. Ran alot better but still shaking a bit in 6th in low rpm's. Looked again the next day and found the other burnt plug. I'm thinking you should also get a lt4 k.m. Just keep on looking, you'll find the problem.

Like crazy. Fixed the first burnt plug, shaking stoped to a point but was still kinda shaking. went back and checked each and every plug from the start of the opti all the way back to the spark plug. Found the other burnt one. Shaking completely stopped. Just make sure you check the each and every plug from start to finish.
