Problems after LT install...

Well we did my LT install last night and all went pretty good. Except on the way home the car kept surging and stumbling at low rpms, i found that around 2K rpms is where the car ran best at. Currently the car is just open LT's right now because the true duals have to be welded up wednesday. And i had to use a friends old Bosch O2 on my passenger side and kept my stock AC delco for the left side.

The car however doesnt stumble at all at WOT. So im thinking that either the mix of the different O2's is causing a problem or that the bosch one just plain blows. I have new 02's coming in the mail along with sensors, do you think this will fix things?

And the car never threw a code, minus i now have a ABS inop light? Im thinking i know where thats coming from, i tried to zip-tie a connector out of the way on the driver side towards the back(maybe it still burned?)

Other than that LT's are great.

Re: Problems after LT install...

First guess is the O2's. Very common.

Second guess is a burnt plug wire.

Re: Problems after LT install...

I would agree with the plug wire except(and i forgot to mention this) the car does fine for a little while at cruising speed then will start stumbling, so i push in the clutch and rev the hell out of it, stick it back in gear and it does good for a little bit again. Besides the car idles great, and the wires are all in great shape.

And it had no problem blowing the 295's off at the light today for a Van full of girls taking pictures

O2 sensors then. I had the same problem...it would start dying at low RPM's, stumble, hesitate, refuse to accelerate (hey that rhymes :P), etc. Then when I pressed the gas pedal enough, it would "wake up" and shoot forward.

Do you have an LT4 KM or a Tune yet? Wait to get the rest of your exhaust on, then send away for a madwolf tune....

Eh, it gets a new cam and dyno tuned for the cam/nitrous soon enough. Im sure its just 02's for now. i think

Even though the car randomly didnt want to start at the gas station today then magically fired up after not doing a damn thing.
