A pulled fuse, cause a check engine light? ---
I was at work today, and told my buddy to just watch the radiator.
Next thing I know hes on the opposite side of the car, I thought he was just looking at things.... then my car dies.
I start it back up, and there is a CHECK ENGINE SOON light.
Is that caused by him pulling the FUSES, lmfao?!
He was concerned that my fans werent on yet... we were diagnosing an overheating prob. (car was only at 180, not in the 200's).
I am not mad because he was TRYING to help.... my real question is.... how many starting cycles ( or whatever ) is it going to take to get the SES light off?! ---

Uh, did he pull any fuses? Did you try and put them back in if he did?
Overheating is when you get past 240+ degrees. Anything below that is normal.
If the SES light is on, instead of being annoyed by it, have it scanned so you know what the possible problem is.

Yes, he pulled 2 fuses, one thinking it was the fan fuse ( but I think it said COMPUTER DIAGNOSIS , or something ) ... then the fan fuse.
The Computer Diagnosis fuse is the one that caused the engine to die 10 seconds later, and then the SES light came on.
The fuses were fine, and are now back in. I am not going to waste my time going to AutoZone for a checkup if the system will reset soon.
I can just unhook the pos. cable on the battery and it will reset, right? ---

There's no "COMPUTER DIAGNOSIS" FUSE. There are "PCM BAT" and "PCM IGN" fuses that will shut the PCM down, which shuts the engine down. Additionally, pulling fuses to the fans opens the fan circuits, and that sets codes. Once the fuses are correctly reinserted, the SES light should go off, and the code should be stored in memory for retrieval.

The SES will stay or the code will be in history, until it is cleared or a required number of drive cycles occur without any further issue (for some DTCs).

The SES light doesn't necessarily clear immediately. The PCM has to run the diagnostic routine that set the code, and it can only run the diagnostic when particular operating conditions are encountered. Some diagnostic routines are only run once per drive cycle.
Just scan it.
Just scan it.
