Question Pushrods?

Installing the hotcam kit along with new Comp Cams OEM lifters and OEM pushrods which appear to be hardened. Do I have to use guideplates or is that just if I was using NSA rockers?

Re: Pushrods?

NSA rockers need guide plates. SA do not. If you use guide plates you need hardened pushrods.

Re: Pushrods?

Guide plates can't be used with SA rockers.

Re: Pushrods?

If the pushrods are stock from your 97 they are not hardened. 96 and 97 LT1's came without hardened pushrods. If so you will need to purchase a set of hardened pushrods also.
