Altjar, are those the long tubes? It just seems that the ports are smaller then 1 3/4". Or I just have bad eye sight

I picked up two of the flanges at the muffler shop. The other two, I cut off an old set of headers.

Battery is down in camera, I will try to get pics soon.

You took off all that stuff but battled your way around the starter?!?!
When I put mine they didn't even come close to the starter the only problem I had was it rubbed against the steering linkage when you turn, its a very tight fit which is partial because the motor mounts were never changed. Overall good headers tho

I'm curious though, are you useing painted or coated? I heard their coating sux.

I bought the painted ones, The paint lasted about 5 minutes....lol
I figured for the money I could try them and if I liked them I could take them back off to be coated.

I have abought a 1/4 clearance between the steering linkage and the tubes. But i have an aluminum spacer in my steering shaft. (no rubber rag joint)

Do you think I'll be okay since I don't have a rag joint eliminator?

I have heard alot about these Pacesetter long tubes. On a Missouri site here, there was a guy that had some installed and had a hell of a time with them. I have heard so many different things about the same headers. Some fit, some don't. Some y-pipes suck, some are good. Some have poor welds on the flanges, some don't. The guy local called Pacesetter, and they told him that the engineer that designed them had left the company so they were all dumbfounded. I am interested in getting some long tubes, but don't want to spend money on something I will have to replace soon.

You should be fine

The lowest part of the headers is on the drivers side where the 3 bolt flange is, and it is about an 1" lower than anything else. So its not bad as some of the other long tubes I've seen.

Well this is the second set of headers I've put on a 4th gen. The first was a set of hooker coated shorties for my wifes car. And I would have to say that the actual instalation of the headers was easier on the longtubes.

Y-pipe, i made my own!

And the welds, bends, and total quality on my set, was very good!
