Gotta be in a box and sealed. Why dont you want to vent the box? its not hard...

You'll have hard starting if you dont use big enough cable. I'm using 1/0

how is venting easy? i thought you had to cut a whole for the air to get outside?, and is a "dry cell" lighter than normal batterys? ---you use zero gauge wire?

I use an optima battery and do not have to vent it. I pass all tech inspections. I also have no trouble starting my car. I used 1 and 2 guage wire.

Interesting, because the Optima battery can "gas".

And, its a wet cell, with gel added to the electrolyte.

eh that is not hard man...drilling a hole is easy. besides there are little plugs in the floor that you can pop out and cut a hole in them with a knife. I'm going to use 1/0 wire from the battery up front, and bring a 4 ga back to the battery switch from the alternator, to be legal

If you arent willing to drill a small hole, i would say dont move your battery

Well...3 things. You are either BSing, have a track that is easy on the rules, or you have a rear firewall installed.

8:1 In lieu of rear firewall, battery may be located in a SEALED .024 inch steel.....box. If sealed box is used, box cannot be used to secure battery, and must be vented outside of body.

Yep autozone has them, you probably want the redtop, it has 800 CCA and I think either 940 or 980 CA. 12 volt like any other car battery

If you race it you also must have an external battery disconnect switch labeled on/off at the back of the car.
