questions about different brands of injectors....
bosch, svo, ford motorsports, siemens-deka. i know that the svo's work well in our cars but what about the other brands. i think bosch and ford motorsports are the same, correct?? i am looking for 30s or possibly 36s. would one brand be better than the other?

Bosch, SVO, FMS and Denso are all basically the same pintle-style injectors. Siemans are a "radius rod" style. Lucas makes an extremely fast "disc-style" injector. The stock Rochesters are a ball & seat design. They will all "work" in the LT1, as long as they are the right length, the right diameter on both ends, have the right type of electrical connector, and are the high impedance type. You can even use a low inpedance type, but need an external "black box" adapter to drive low impedance injectors with the factory PCM. Not necessary on a 30# or 36# injector.
When you move up to a 30# or 36# injector, you will need a reprogram, and that's when you tell the tuner what brand you are using, so that he can use the correct flow constant and the correct offsets.
Some interesting injector info on this site regarding the strengths and weaknesses of each type:
