Questions about LT1 to LS1 rearend swap. Help please? Shoebox you out there

Just got done swapping my broken one leg wonder 3.23 gear out of my 94 and I have some questions. I replaced the unit with a disk to disk 3.42 out of a 2000 car. So far here's what I've found.

1) There are 2 brake lines coming into the rear that each go to a caliper. The early models (at least mine) had 1 line going into a T-block and then to the calipers. This took some fabrication.

2) Is there any way to get my ABS working again? My plug is 2 wires VS the new rear which has 4. ABS Inop light is on.

3) My emergancy brake cables are too short. Buy for a 2000 I take it?

I guess that's about it. How much is this going to change my speedometer? Innaccurate by how much approx?

Also installed (finally) my BMR tubular LCA's. Next project is both lower ball joints need replaced then hopefully my headers can be installed. Only had them sitting in the dining room for 1 year 3 months now

As far as the abs goes they are completly different. In the LT1
it is run off of the abs reluctor ring inside the housing and in the LS1 the sensors are at the ends of the axle tubes. I have not heard of anyone getting it to work. But there is problably some way to get the computer to read the sensors.. Anyone out there do this?
Why not just buy a Mosier or a Strange?
Later Colin

make a homemade reluctor ring and mount it on the driveshaft yoke then move the sensor out of the rear and attach it to the tranny mount and position it over the reluctor. Then you have ABS. I haven't done this yet but i have been told it works, I will do it when i get my rear in hopefully this week. I have pics of a set up someone else has that says it works.

Thats not entirely true. All LT1 cars with traction control also had a four channel setup with reluctors on the ends of the axles.

I swapped a 4 channel rear into my 3 channel car and kept my original axles and the new ones for spares. I drilled the housing to accept the sensor before i installed it. I never got a reluctor ring though because i don't care about the abs, sorry. It should definitly work though unless a 1/32nd is too far out of alignment. It may be, but if you drill yours perfectly there is no reason for it not to work.

Doing the opposite swap you just have to get axles with reluctor rings and buy a sensor to plug the hole in the differential and your good to go.

Thanks guys. Not too worried about the ABS unit if it takes that much crap to get it working.

Moser and Strange, BTW, are out of the question because i'd rather have a new central air unit installed in my house before I spend that amount of money on a rear.
