A Quick Question...

Is there a way to measure IAC counts without the use of a scanner?

I think measuring these will help me fix my car's INSANELY high idle (try 2000, no more, no less). Please help quick, I am not going to sleep until my car is idling back at 850.

Re: A Quick Question...

Its possible that I am completely wrong here, but when my car was ideling very low I looked in the service manuel and found a procedure that seemed to fix it. I think it was like start your car and let it idle for like 15 minutes, then turn the a/c on and let it run another 15 min. I think this allows the computer to "reset" or "relearn" the idle rpms. As I said, it seemed to work for me, maybe it was coincidence or maybe not.
