You'd be amazed how many people manage to screw that up.

Why not add a "Signature" so people know the specific details of your car, and don't have to go back to the first post in the thread to find basic info like the year?
i made sure it was correct before i bolted the opti back on. any other ideas?

could it be a computer problem not sending fire to some of the cylinders? and if so. how can i check it?

Are you really sure? I'd estimate at least 10% of the people who are"sure" found out later they were wrong.

The PCM sets codes for faulty injector circuits. Do you have those codes? Do you have 12V at each pink wire in the injector harness clips? Check for the PCM supplying the ground to fire the injector by using a 'noid light. PCM seldom fails.

yes im sure. this isnt the first time ive changed an opti. so thats not the problem. ill check the injectors and let ya know what i got

alright so heres what happened. i tore the car back apart and put the opti back on. it was on wrong. i suppose it moved when i was putting it in place. but the car is running. as a matter of fact. it runs great! and its idling perfect. but im still getting 2 codes.

P0300- Random/Multi Cylinder Misfire.
P0113- Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input.

no idea why.....any guesses??????

Did you clear the old codes out before you started it? The computer will hold hard codes.

yeah i cleared all the old codes out once i got it running. drove the car about 8 miles. Check Engine Light popped back on and that was the codes it gave me. that light has been on for the last 3 years and its always something retarded like that. but i dont see how the car runs as smooth as it does and supposedly have a misfire.

Check the IAT sensor to make sure it's plugged in. The code is telling you there is an open circuit, or a short. If the harness wire is OK, check the sensor:

4th Gen LT1 F-body Tech Articles

P0300 is indicating a random misfire. It's derived from the crank position sensor rotational velocity, so is can actually be caused by an aggressive cam (don't see one in your signature), or even from driving on excessively rough roads.

Not sure why you consider those codes "retarded"????????????

i went back over the car. and one of the sensors was unplugged. so im hoping that fixed that one. secondly. the random misfire is a code that has popped up for the last 3 years. and i call it retarded cuz the motor idles and runs fine. im not for sure...but if it had a misfire....wouldnt it be skipping? wouldnt it run a little rough? the motor doesnt do that at all. the cars fine. but i still continue to get that code. and i was just wondering how to get rid of it. and the only thing that isnt stock on that car is the exhaust and cold air intake. the roads around here are rough as hell. but that code has been coming up since i bought the car.
