Quick Question!! Guessing its my belt?!
Just started today guys. started the car up and got ot the end of my block and it was making this very loud squeaking sound. Came back to the house and sprayed some wd40 on the belt and it goes away for a bit then come right back. But not quite as loud anymore. Also it does effect my idle. It seems to hang a little bit more ect.
Do i just need to replace the belt. It doesn't look cracked or old, but the car has been sitting for awhile before i bought it.
Also could the idler pully or w/e be bad?? It SOUNDS like its coming from the bottom to pulles but it could just be me.

Re: Quick Question!! Guessing its my belt?!
dont spray wd-40 on it ....it will dry it out and just make things worse.
Replace the belt, only cost 10 bucks and takes 10 minutes....whlie you are down there give the belt tensioner a look and make sure it spins freely and smooth .... good luck...let us know how it turns out
