OK, what the heck. I did the clay trick and the pickup is not hitting. I put the pan back on and it still feels like it is hitting something but with the pan off nothing looks like it would touch! I hand tightened like 3 bolts on each side including the corners, then I pushed down on the pan as hard as I could while finger tightening the bolts. When I was done both sides were atleast 1/4-3/8 in the air. I would use a ratchet but it looks like it would completely bend the lip of the pan down. It is almost as if the whole engine is holding the pan up... It just wont lay down!!

Rotate the rank and see if you can get it to seat.
