Re: Quietest Cat-Back Exhaust
An 80 series with headers and no cat is definatly NOT quiet. At idle yes, which is cool cause you can stab the clutch in when you see the cops lol, but anything other than idle, my car is LOUD. Way louder than my friends 5.0 Mustang with Mac Mids, H-Pipe, and 40's, and this other guy I know who has a 5.0 with LT's, H pipe, 40's.

Corsa
The quietest hands down was the Dual Dual its about like stock. Then probably after that the Borla with a Closed plate, followed by the 2OTL then the Corsa then the Loudmouth. I just installed a Corsa and the diff between it and my Borla was , expecially when everyone always says the Corsa is really quiet. Whats odd is my car sounds louder at Idle with the Corsa, louder at WOT, yet quieter on the high way at about 1500-2000 I'm going to be putting a bullet muffler in my I pipe this week to calm it down some. If you really want quiet get the Dual Dual, but you'll want a cutout too as it'll probably be to quiet.

Also, wanting something for any purpose besides performance makes you a ricer, so give your neighbors a break and stop adding to the stereotype that all camaros sound like trucks.

Re: Quietest Cat-Back Exhaust
Me and my other 2 camaro buddies each have pacesetter long tubes. One has the SLP 2OTL, the other has a flowmaster 80 muffler with stock I-Pipe, and I have the Hooker catback. Mine seems to be the loudest at WOT. They all seem to have the same loudness at idle, just different tones.

Re: Quietest Cat-Back Exhaust
a 13.3@103 is completely possible with some tires and his mods....
and the slp loudmouth is an overpriced piece of ****. I went with a dynomax bullet muffler on my last car and saved a ****load of money.
As for quiet, probably dynomax super turbos or slp 2otl. Both rather quiet.

Re: Quietest Cat-Back Exhaust
i have pacetter lts and ory, went with magnaflow muffler/ new series tips, and the I pipe an oem replacement style pipe that my muffler shop recommended for the very reason you guys are talking about too much noise, it worked out perfect, at idle you know theres something going on but its not too bad at 1/4 to half it gets alittle loud and clean sounding at WOT its loud and throaty as hell but still clean, love the setup

I really don't feel like I have to explain myself to you.

The stock catback with an E cutout isn't a bad idea but i'd want at least a 3 inch ipipe.
