Quietest Muffler

What is the quietest muffler that is available that i can hook up to my 3" catback pipe? I am setting up a sleeper setup with a cut-out right after my LT's and y-pipe. I am looking for loud...(i.e. cutout) and extremely quiet(i.e. quiet muffler)

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm running an Ultra-flo. Very quiet at idle/cruise, but open the throttle and whoa! Straight pipe design too. I like it.

Re: Quietest Muffler

if you want the sleeper look, keep the stock muffler. it's pretty quiet, and the appearance of it makes the car look completely stock cause the exhaust is usally the first thing to be modified on a camaro.

Re: Quietest Muffler

my flowmaster was quiet, i ran a flowmaster and cutout for a while, sounded pretty good without cat and not too loud.

Re: Quietest Muffler

There really isnt a quiet muffler of longtubes and an o/r y-pipe. I had an 02 WS6 catback on my car thinkin it would be a sleeper when I put on headers, but it just got alot louder and sounded like ****, so I got a hooker catback.

Re: Quietest Muffler

I have 2 40s, quiter than my single 80 was. But still not quite. I would try stock muffler, but would be afriad of how the LTs would change the sound.

Re: Quietest Muffler

Another vote for the stock muffler. That's what I have, and it's a real sleeper until I flip the switch to open the cutout.

Re: Quietest Muffler

How about the quietest aftermarket muffler? I am also interested... 383 with 12:1 cr, lt's, ory, and Loudmouth II might get quite loud when you're driving home at 12-2 am., especially since it's a daily driver!!

Re: Quietest Muffler

I am also intersted in this. I am buying a X-pipe for my long tubes and was thinking about adding two of the cheap cats and two bullets. Anyone know how quiet that should be?
