Racetronix dual intank pump

Quick question. Does it matter which of the two pumps I disable from the wiring harness to keep only one running for the time being? I dont need both pumps running right now. On their harness there are two connectors there for each pump. I can plug the hobbs switch to either one I suppose. But does it matter which one I disconnect for now?

Thanks,

It does not matter which pump is the primary or secondary. You can alterate the pumps every few weeks to give them even runtime if you wish.

is there a disadvantage to running both at the same time? i mean, as long as the fuel pressure is set correctly they will only flow as much as programming and the injectors are set to flow (offset and constant), right?

From a drivability standpoint there should be no difference as long as your FPR and return line can maintain a stable pressure with both pumps running.

Running both pumps at once draws more current, heats and aerates the fuel a bit more. If you don't need it on use the Hobbs switch.

cool. i did not think it would make a difference. i just was not sure from a functional standpoint why they would shut one pump down. the heat and current aspect makes sense though.
