Ran my car at the track for the first time ever.

Friday night I ran my car three times. Two 1/4 mile trips and one 1/8. I was happy about the results. What do you guys think? Heres the results first one is the 1/8.

Reaction--.866--.780--.774
60 ft----2.058--2.067--2.086
330-----5.908--5.919--5.922
ET@594-8.480--8.495-- 8.479
1/8 et---9.056--9.072--9.051
1/8 mph-78.12--78.11--78.69
1/4 et----------14.094--14.053
1/4 mph---------98.04--96.79

The first 2 runs was around 7:30 to 8. The car was getting a little hot while waiting in staging lanes over half way mark. The last run was about 10 and temp stayed below half way mark. The car was running a lot better during that last run. It even kicked sideways in second on a very good sticking track. But it was eliminations and I had to let off toward the end but I still ended up breaking out I might could of dropped into the 13s if I kept it mashed. Not bad for mods in sig and 156k miles on the clock.

Not bad, get the 60' down some and you will be 13's for sure.

What track did you make the runs at?

If you ask me 2.0X 60 foot times your first time out is pretty damn good. Sure beats the 2.5's-2.7's I ran my first time out

The 60 isn't bad for a first time out but when it gets betterhe will be 13's for sure.

Re: Ran my car at the track for the first time ever.

Id say your trap speeds are slightly low, but nothing too major. My first time to the track with full weight and cai only I trapped 99.5 mph, but I ran a 14.4 because my 60 foot was horendous. Trust me your 60 foot is really good if you are on street tires that is....most guys are in the 2.1-2.3 range on street tires......when I had street tires the absolute best I ever pulled was a 2.098.
Your 1/8 mile speed is pretty good, I just looked at my slip of a 13.998 run in major humdity and terrible weather and I had 78.97 mph 1/8 and 100.96 mph in the 1/4 mile. I do have a cutout which I'm sure helps a good 1 mph on the topend. I suggest getting a cutout since its so cheap and will be one of your best bangs for the buck. Tuning from madz28.com helps out too, and I'm installing some asp underdrive pullies this week and testing em out on friday (if I can get my belt in that is), so hopefully I will be trapping 102 mph plus with somewhat limited mods done.
Oh and the weather also plays a big role too.....On that run I listed above it ways crappy weather, look at my run in my sig then...that was with the exact same mods but nicer weather.
