a rattle/squeak, sounds like its from the rear

I keep hearing a weird rattle everytime I shift while the car is standing. This rattle doesn't seem to happen all the time either its just once in a while. I can hear it as well when i turn left, when this happens there is also a loud squeaking noise (pretty much ear piercing). I took it to a garage and the mechanic lubed up the sway bar links. He said it was as case of "i've been sitting around itus". Got an inspection too and nothing is wrong with the car at all. These guys we can trust too we've gone to them for a long time. Got any idears? Thanks!

Did lubing the sway bar endlinks help the noise at all? A rattling noise could also be a result of worn out shocks or even the trunk lid.

It seems like it helped for like a day or 2. It still squeaked but not as bad. This only happens when I turn left, the harder left i turn the worse it is.

It could also be a bushing in the rear lower control arm as well.

A bushing shouldn't make an ear piercing noise. Sounds more like the rotors are rubbing on something (pad end of life tab) when you're turning. I'd look at your brakes.

I think you may be right about the rotors, my friend alex thinks so too. When the squeaking noise, it sounds kinda like a rotating sound. An example is, SQUEEEAAAAAK.. SQUEAAAAAK.. SQUEAAAAAAK, yeahhh you get the point

defintetly your brakes are hitting rotors, the axle in these cars tend to have some play.they have shims for this problem.gm.
