rear end gears

can you change from 273's to 323's in a 95 camaro without changing the whole rear end, if so, do you just buy the gears and get someone to put them in.

Yes you can change the rearend gears without having to replace the whole rearend assembly. All you we need is the ring and pinion, installation kit (includes bearings and shims), posi additive and rearend oil. I would highly recommend looking into maybe getting a 3.42 or a 3.73.

Just remember if your car came with 2.73's stock you have a 2 series carrier. If it came with 3.23's stock you have a 3 series carrier. The gears you have now will determine which series gear you will need. Just a heads up.

Listen to both guys who answered. Buy 3.73's (or 3.42 if you absolutely insist on it), install kit and fluids. If you're not overly confident that you can do it correctly and also have the correct tools, take it to reputable shop to have it done.
