Removal of ABS system

Is there a way to remove the Anti-lock braking system in my car while retaining all other proper brake functions? The reason I ask is I honestly don't like ABS, tends to cause more problems than anything IMO and I don't like something taking control of my car over me. Is there any detailed websites on doing this and has anyone else done this without any problems? Thanks

Myles

In my repair manual it states that even if the ABS has a Major malfunction the brakes still work normally. Mine do, I have ABS removed from mine as well ,w/ no problems. I also hate ABS. It has very rarely made a difference in any car I ahve owned. I remeber one car that it worked great in, but I can't recall what the car was. I think it was a Cougar or Olds. Oh well.
