Removed compressor, added new pulley, need new serp. belt length?

Removed compressor, added new pulley, need new serp. belt length?

As I was saying i removed my compressor and installed the factory replacement A|C delete pulley. Has anyone done this, and if so what length belt did you use? I think a 63" belt will do but I'm just not sure on this one.

You should be able to use the stock belt no problem. Me and a few of my friends have done it. But, on the other hand, I've seen a few peope on this board that said their's were real loose after the ac delete install, so I don't know. All I know is my stock belt worked

..I was advised to use a shorter belt after the removal and install of the 1LE AC delete pulley. Does anybody have any fotos/pics of how the serpentine belt tensioner is mounted? No manual here. I think that me and my friend may have re-installed the tensioner assembly upside down.

you could take a tape measure and route it through the normal passages. This may sound crazy, but it should give you a guesstimate. The tensioner will make up for a couple of centimeters here or there.

try a search. i posted my actually belt size but i'm at work and can't remember off hand-------update.... did the search on my old post 63.5" is what i ended up with

I yanked ac stuff, put in ac delete pulley, and ran the same belt. It should work.

Edit: Do you happen to have an underdrive pulley somewhere? Maybe the tensioner has enough play for the smaller ac delete pulley, but in combination with some underdrive pulley, maybe it maxes out the length it can absorb. Just a thought...
