Replacement in-tank fuel pump?

I am looking at replacing my intank fuel pump and would like to get some suggestions on what to buy. I need something that is not increadibly hard to put in that will support "more than stock" fuel requirements without getting a 1000 hp system.

I see there are several choices... the whalboro, GMS and Holley. Are there any others out there? Which is easiest to install and where should I get it from.

Thanks for the help.

btw-its a 96 Z

Here you go. Racetronix. Should my pump take a dump, this will be what I'm going with.

Racetronix. Awesome fit. Great performance. I personally don't think the harness is a waste, but to each his own.

"explain yourself" oooooh, your in trouble..

Ordered a Racetronix setup (with harness) from Thunderracing..this morning shortly after the first reply.

Thanks guys.

Seems I have bigger problems than my old worn out fuel pump though... I think my passanger side head gasket is blown..

I have coolant coming down from that side and pouring down on top of the starter. I started the car and watched the metal tube that runs between the heads, nothing. Best I can tell it is coming from between the block and the head.

Any suggestions or things to check for?

It makes sense to get the new harness if you ask me.... Just read the racetronix writeup on the benifits. The dude that said dont waste your money must be one of those people who thinks that 18 gauage speaker wire is more than sufficient...

Good luck on getting your other problems sorted out.

Agreed. I put one on my GTA with the HP pump and I will be doing it again within the next few days as the pump just died last night in my Z28. Nothing worse than being stranded by a dead fuel pump and you know exactly what is wrong and exactly how to fix it - you just can't! And then all of your friends with trailers are out of town or have their trailers torn apart......

The harness is a proven mod. The GN and TTA guys have been doing this for years with great success. Plus it is an insurance policy for the pump so it doesn't fail again (well, for a long, long time anyways).

Seems to me the cost-benefit analysis on this one approves the purchase and installation of the harness .

I,m getting ready to order a pump and was wondering weather the harness was needed. I would rather keep it as simple as possible? Thanks Butch

It all depends on the HP level you wish to support.

Then the pump assembly alone will be more than enough for you
