it will make more power but the lower lsa is worse when it comes to spray. but on a N/a engine the the 108 and 110 will make more power.

but if your goal is spray then 112 is low as i would go. mine goals are N/A so thats why im going to go 108 possibly a 109. but cam surge is a worry for me.

Mine is on a 112 and it's noticeable at idle, but nothing horrendous since it's set at 850. When I'm running the ORP instead of the cat it sounds even better (1 ¾" midlength headers, 3" cat back, straight flow through type muffler).

Maybe I could compromise and get it ground on a 113* LSA?

And would I want the XL or HL grind?

NCC-224HL
HIGH ENERGY
Comp Cams 224HL Camshaft 224/230 duration @ .050", .525"/.560" lift with 1.5 rockers, .560"/598" lift with 1.6 rockers. Excellent cam for 350 naturally aspirated cars, street/strip.

NCC-224XL
XTREME
Comp Cams 224XL Camshaft 224/230 duration @ .050", .503"/.510" lift with 1.5 rockers, .536"/.544" lift with 1.6 rockers. Almost as powerful as the XH but easier on the valvetrain.

I am pretty sure the 224 XH is too much, as far as being too much lift and too radical for the valvetrain.

i think you want the XL that HL will be too much lift for most springs.

you dont need any cam with lift more than .550" on stock heads. getting the XH will only force you get more expensive springs and lifters to handle the lift that you dont need. with the traditional XL... you can use stock lifters and springs that will fit stock seats w/o machining.

this cam would be fine also for running nitrous even though its ground on a 112 LSA. the overlap is identical to that of the cc305(114 lsa) which a lot of guys use for nitrous.

Thanks for the help guys. Right now I'm checking around to see if anyone will install this stuff for me.

No luck yet, and running out of places to go. I may just wait till summer and tackle it myself

Damn I love being stubborn
I'm going with this cam on a 114 LSA , I assume yours is around 112, anyway I will also have stock heads, where do you shift at, I'm thinking somewhere in the 6000-6300 rpm range, not sure where the power drops off with this cam and I want to extract all I can.
