Rocker stud question (adv)

Is the thread pitch different on 7/16 studs vs. 3/8 studs? I'm thinking 1/2 turn past 0 might have been overkill on my CC 850-16 lifters with a 7/16 stud.

The 3/8 stud gets 4 more threads per inch.

Re: Rocker stud question (adv)

What exactly does that correlate to as far as adjusting the lash?

Re: Rocker stud question (adv)

Well, the 7/16-20 stud has .050 travel per revolution (360º) to the 3/8-24's .042 for .008 difference. 1/4 turn on the 3/8-24 = .010 preload on the lifter compared to .0125 on the 7/16. We're just talking fractions of that 360º value here.

Does that help?

Re: Rocker stud question (adv)

You got it.

We're just talking about fractions of those 360º values. So 1/8 turn on the 7/16 stud = .006 preload at the lifter and so on...
