Rockers hitting stud
I have a set of 1.6 rockers that are just touching the top of the bolt of the rocker stud , enough to scrape the alum. off . The heads and block are stock the rockers are NSA and i have hardened rods 7.2 and guide plates just cant figure why they are touching ?

Re: Rockers hitting stud
Iam not sure the brand name i bought them used , the push rod should be stock length the heads and block havent been touched so that shouldnt be a issue .

Lots of people do research but fail to understand the difference between reading and comprehension. Lots of people think they are buying very good parts when they are buying nothing but junk.
You should not be modifying rockers for a basic hydraulic setup. I have run 4 different sets of rockers on the LT1 and never had to modify a single one that is with 3 different aftermarket cams, one of them being over .600" lift. Also used ARP studs, three different sets of heads, 2 different sets of valvecovers, 3 different sets of guideplates.
The closest thing I had to do to modifying anything with all of that was trimming the stock valvecovers to clear wide body rockers.

Stock studs wont work with guide plates and RR..... Ask me how I know.....LOL. The ARP studs have a lower nut to allow the RR to miss it. The new studs "should" solve the problem. Good Luck..
