Roller rockers with stock cam, help with part numbers wanted.
I am looking into putting roller rockers on my stock cam 96z with 100k on the car. Car has mods in sig and it shifts just under 6k. I would like to use SA rockers.
What I am looking for is part numbers for a proven 1.6rr kit, springs, valve guide seals, etc. I do not plan on putting a cam in this car so I do not think I need HD springs or NSA rockers.
Will this combo work with minimal to no trimming of valve covers?
Also what spring compressor tool is the best for doing this with the heads on the car?
Any other parts I should buy? Car has new VC gaskets that I installed last year. I like to do things right the first time so any suggestions on changes would be appreciated.
Rocker Part Number: Scorpion SCP1036 SA 1.6 RR Narrow Body
Springs: LT4 Springs
Retainers, Keepers, Locks, Seats: New GM OEM (Do I need to replace these?)
Valve Seals: New GM OEM (Anything better out there?)
Spring Compressor Tool: ???

You can reuse the stock hardware with the LT4 spring just clean and inspect it. GM valve seals should be fine, although I've changed rockers three times I never changed the seals. Someone does make a nice dual spring compresser maybe it was Crane, I think summit has one. I don't think the 1036 is a narrow body, I run the 1026 myself. Also I have a set of 3/8 stud 1.6 s/a Promags 1318-16 slightly used, PM me.

How much of a gain do you feel this will give you? I was thinking of doing it to, if it's worth it. I want to have the heads and intake potted and polished once I save up the money. I also will add a can then to.

Im only expecting 10 or so horsepower out of them, but i'm not all that interested in changing out the cam just yet. Still thinking about getting
1.7's,PR's and guideplates instead.
My plan is in 2 or 3 years to do a complete teardown of the entire car and do a rebuild with a cam and heads unless a newer car catches my eye. I would really like to pick up a G8 or GTO for a summer car in a couple years honestly.
For now the car is just a toy to drive to work on nice days and never sees any track time.
