ok guys my car was missing really bad the other day and since i work at a gm garage i hooked it up to our tech-2 and went thru and shut off each injector until i found out which cylinder was missing ,well it said number 8 so i took the plug off the opti and it was alll rusty so i tried cleaning it up, didnt work to well, and stuck it back on,,,, its an msd wire, do u guys think my opti is toast, its still missing by the way, its on a 95 z auto with 65,000 miles

Well if you are sure that it is just the 1 cylinder that is miss firing than i would replace that wire and pull the plug also to see if is carboned badly and replace it if it looks bad and then try it.

Sounds like it could be that one wire. Have you checked the others? What end of it was rusty? Water probly just seeked in there and got it wet.

it was the end to the opti...that was rusted, i took it to work again today and redid all the cylinder checks and they all seemed to be working i dunno here
