I know that with non-self aligning rockers you need the hardened pushrods. But if I have the self aligning rockers and a 306 cam, which I guess is a fairly high lift cam, do I at least need some stronger pushrods or do I just use the same stock strength pushrods. I will be spinning my motor to probably 6400rpm.

This question shouldn't even be asked since hardened pushrods are cheap as hell...

why self aligning rockers if you are going to rev that high?

I have the Crane 10308 kit. When I bought the car used it already had the Gold Crane S/A 1.6rr installed, so I just reused them when I rebuilt the engine. The new engine has been running for about 9,000 miles now but I don't run it to hard that much. Anyhow I have some extra money and was wondering if I needed to go ahead and get some better pushrods, maybe chromely ones?

Get 1 piece 4130 chromoly pushrods at the least and don't worry about them. Hardened stock pushrods are good for guideplate stock valvespring and cam motors, not aftermarket springs and cams.
