Is This Safe?

ok my current tires... yokohama a540's (255's) are about as bald as my grandfather... litterally in the middle they have no tread... its just flat not a bump for 2 inchs wide so within the next couple months (lol, im broke) i'll probably be getting some kuhmo ecsta's.... would it be a good idea to put on 2 of the old tires on the back when i go to the track? ya know... no tread... more surface area? plus the kuhmo's will probably be 245's obviously i won't wear them down till they explode... but is that a good idea? at least for just a couple trips to the track?

Sorry, bad idea. Bald tires aren't the same as slicks, it's just old hard rubber....
