Screwdriver meets cylinder wall...Picture
I was getting ready to install my passanger side head and was using a screwdriver to remove the stock sparkplug clamp when it slipped and went into #2 cylinder. So how bad is this?
I know the lower mark was already on the cylinder wall. I think I did the upper one. It doesn't appear that deep, however I can feel a slight roughness when I touch it. Will this be a problem? Should I use a fine grade steel wool to smooth it or should I just bolt it up and cross my fingers??

Run a bead of grease around the piston to cylinder wall area, and then use a bit of 280 grit emery paper or wet-dry paper to smooth out any raised areas around the divot. Then clean the walls perfectly with an oily cloth, and remove the grease which will have captured any abrasive. Put it together and forget about it. The rings will move over the divot easily, and you won't even notice.

Yeah man I wouldn't worry about that at all nor loose sleep over it, you won't see any power loss or anything bad happening from it, like stated take some emery cloth to her & she'll be as good as new, well almost LOL.

For him I lowered the amount---
Trust me--after that screwdriver slipped it was more like "GO TO JAIL". Great advice guys, however you did ruin a perfectly good excuse to start a Stroker rebuild . After all, if I would have to get the block honed, might as well bore it and throw in a few other things---pretty much had the wife talked into it.......Hmmm, what if my hammer would slip........
Thanks again....
