Seafoamed, have wild RPMs, headlights won't pop up, dead after shutdown
After charging a completly dead Skull-1 today, I went for a test drive. 2 weeks ago I did the Seafoam in the gas thing, yesterday, 1/2 in the engine. I was cruising normally, then went into a shopping center lot and noticed the battery needle shaking a bit. I gave it 3/4 throttle out of the lot, and my RPMs went crazy nuts!!! I have no tranny problems (knock on wood) so I know that aint it.
Further down a road on a barren street, same thing, 3/5 throttle and the RPM needle pegged past 7000. After that anything but a light throttle produced wacky RPMs. Got home and noticed I was going 12MPH and RPMs were at 1300 (regular 700-900) in PARK. Lastly I hit my headlights, and they didn't popup. They were lit but shining in the bumper. After shutting off, Skull-1 was totally dead, but charging seems to do the trick.
I pretty much checked everything I could, fuses, hoses, etc. Only major change is about a month ago, I took my Mallory Hyfire VI off as it would not let Skull-1 turn on.
What should I be looking for?!?!?

If your rpm is going wacko, I would bet the ignition coil is the culprit. Check the wiring first, and all the connections to and from...
Hope this helps...

Well, I did a quick inspection of the coil and wiring around it, there doesn't seem to be any problems. Battery terminals are nice and tight. This happened pretty much overnight. It still doesn't explain why my headlights wouldn't popup. When running, the needle may shake but not drop below 13 volts. I may have to pull the alternator and get that checked. Would a brand new coil do it?
