If she is using the Hot cam kit, there is no need for hardened pushrods. You only need hardened pushrods with non self aligning roller rockers(because they use guideplates to keep them centered....and rub the pushrods...thus the need for hardened pushrods). The rockers in the Hot cam kit should be self aligning(guides on the roller tip to keep it centered on the valve). The stock pushrod length of 7.2" should be fine with the Hotcam kit(if the heads were milled or block decked that could change).
In another words, your stock pushrods "should" be fine if they are not bent or damaged.

Based on what she is telling us about them...I would not count on it. Sorry to be so cynical about it, but I don't have a good feeling about that shop.

The heads were milled if I recall correctly. I called and talked to Bob who is working on the motor and he said once the cam is in he measures for the pushrods.
