ok guys, my ses light has been going on and off lately and when its on the fans run constantly even when the engine isnt up to temp. i have the 180* t stat for the winter. no internal mods. the other thing is this evening at about 7:45 went to start my and it would crank but no fire. so i took my dads truck to soccer practice and when i got back i tried it again and it fired right up. even drove it and it drove normal. any ideas? it is a 95z a4 with 96000 miles. does anyone know where/how i can get it scanned because auto zone can't do it. will i have to pay a shop? any help is greatly appreciated thanks, nick

You'll have to get the codes pulled. Most likely, unless you know someone with proper equipment, you'll have to go to a shop to get the codes pulled.
