What about stock 2002 Z shocks with prokit springs, any good?

i heard that the stock 98-02 springs will make the car sit higher up, since they are made for the ls1 front end which is lighter than the LT1 front end.

that seems the oposite to me, if its heavier (lt1) it should put more weight on the springs and accually be lower... but perhaps there is something i donno

your right, i didnt think about what i wrote. yeah, the springs for the LS1 are weaker, therefore the heavier LT1 will sit lower. Duh!

The BEST shocks for the pro kit is by a long shot are the Konis. bilstein HD are designed for stock spring. The pro kit will just wear them out faster. You can also lower the car with out replacing the spring by using konis.

I'd also like to keep the cost down so the Koni coil-overs are a no go.

I got the pic, they look like stockers to me, but I am 30miles from my Z to check the springs. I am not sure if they should compress like that under standard operation. But it doesnt look that scary.
