A few weeks ago, i pulled out my 1994 Camaro Z28 and it started up fine. Then i went up and down the drive way a few times and i felt a hesitation. Then it began back firing. I think it is the optispark but i am not sure. Then i pulled it out yesturday and the problem seemed to go away after it ran for a while but i wanted to really see if she was fine so i drove it up the street and tried to burn out off the start a few times but it didnt seem to have the power. I was wondering if maybe it was due to the optispark? If anyone could help that would be great thanks.

 

could be a number of things.

might be fuel filter/pump problem.

is your water pump leaking??could be leaking onto
your opti.

 

How long did it sit? Long enough for bad gas? Some times mine (although it's not lt1) runs a little rough and maybe misfires a bit after I get it out of storage. Just a thought.

 

I actually put new gas in it, becasue i bought it and let it sit for like 2 months but the guy before me might have had it sitting for a while cause it was unregistered when i bought it. I don't think the water pump is leaking because there aren't any wet spots or steam coming from the motor.

my gas is brand new as well..
