Slp Cai

I have decided to go with the SLP CAI.

Any thoughts on this? Is is good bad or is there better?

What is a realistic HP gain you can expect from a CAI install.

THANKS

it's a good looking, high quality, great flowing piece. you shold be happy.

if i remember correctly, it is metal tubing. some claim it has more heat soak. but i think it's BS. the air is flowing way to fast for it to soak up that much heat.

just be carful not to scratch or dent it. that's the advantage of the plastic ones...since most mods to the engine are easier if you remove the intake. could get dinged up over time.

CAI install ?

Is any cutting of the car's sheetmetal required for the SLP or any other CAI?

No. Its a half hour install. New ones come with instructions.

I have it. Its a nice CAI, easy to install and looks real good. My only complaint with it is there is little room where the two filter go, to tighten/loosen the filter clamps (this usually takes me about half an hour to do - too long when its only 2 screws). Other than that, no complaints.
