Slp Cai?

I am thinking about switching from my Moroso CAI to an SLP CAI. I have found a couple that are used for sale. I was wondering if there was a big difference on one that said it is specifically for the 93 LT1 motor and I have a 94. Said that it had something to do with the length because of not having a MAF sensor. Is this true?

Also can you use the K&N cleaner kit on the filters for the SLP?

Re: Slp Cai?

I have a 93 SLP intake on my 97. Its a bit of a PITA to get cut right but if you have access to a machine shop or the right cutting tools its not that bad. You end up cutting about 2-3 inches off and then having to make a connector. I used a rubber pvc to cast pipe adapter and it works great. Like I said its not a big deal but if you can find one for $20 or so more that you dont have to cut, its worth it!

Re: Slp Cai?

I just read the post a while back and almost everyone's vote went towards SLP for being the best CAI. It also looks great under the hood.
