SLP Headers Install Times

SLP Headers Install Times
Im preparing to take my Camaro to FL and a couple of friends and I are gonna put some parts on it to get the NOS sprayable and also do a set of headers. All the other stuff we know we can get done easily, the headers are the main thing. I was wonderin how long it took any of yall out there that have the SLP shorties on a single cat LT1? Also, what tips if any can you offer as to maybe specific parts to remove to make it an easier install. Thanks for the info.

Re: SLP Headers Install Times
It took me a weekend working off and on. I took lots of breaks though, so don't get discouraged.
Soak your manifold to y-pipe bolts in WD40 over night before trying to remove them if possible. I ended up breaking half the bolts during disassembly but I guess it doesn't really matter. The passenger side wasn't so bad, I think I had to remove the starter and maybe the valve cover. The driver side was worse, I had to remove the oil filter, steering shaft and valve cover. It might honestly be easier to remove the two motor mount bolts and jack or raise the motor up some although it's not necesary.
What do you plan to do with the catalytic converter? Hook it up to the SLP Y-pipe? Put a straight pipe in place?
