smoking after warm up?

Got a little problem, recently my 95 Z28 started to smoke. It doesnt start to smoke untill it warms up and gets up to temp. And once it starts smoking it will literally smoke out my back yard. Im thinkin its a head gasket, it seemed to lose a little coolant but its kinda hard to tell since i just purchased the car not to long ago and really didnt get to drive it much before it started to smoke. Also the car does not overheat at all. To me it looks like the smoke is a little blue so i was thinking head gasket but it doesnt smell sweet to me, in fact it kinda smells like slightly burnt oil. Short block has approximetly 50,000 miles on it, bottom end was replaced by previous owner cause he had 130,000miles on the car and got a great deal on the replacment with like 35,000 miles. So hopefully something in the the shortblock is not the culprit, but we will see. Also he thought the original engine was eating coolant and had a local chevy dealer replace the short block with the lower mileage one and i guess check the heads out too.

Just wanting some opinions on what it might be, if anyone else has had this problem.

my head gasket has been blown for the past week, and it was just the same way. drove fine but smoked like no other, no over heating either.. i HAD to try one of those liquid repair bottles becuase i have no second car and my buddies car isnt running right now either to borrow... i dont recomend using it unless you have too. as soon as i get a chance to change it i will..

but back to your problem.. i would start your car then remove the radiator cap.. and check over a period of about 20 min or so and see if you loss any coolant.. what i did was look inside the radiator, where the return line from the head dumps the coolant back into the radiator and see if any air gets shoot back into the radiator... in my case it did and smoked.. then used that repair shiit and its fine for now..(until it blows again im sure )

or you could get your coolant tested for oil and see if its blown too.

I'd say blown head gasket or bad valve stem seals.

If its a head gasket I really dont recomend using the bottles of leak stop ESPECIALLY Liquid Glass. they patch the hole but when u try to take the motor apart it can b a Pain in the ***.
