So I got my intake manifold off for the cam instal...
And found this
I have ported heads The only problem is the cam that I ordered is probably too small for ported heads, the crane 210/224. I'm probably going to have to send it back for their 222/230 cam.

The 104mph is before the 3.73's, and normally people pick up some MPH after the gear swap. The car was 100% stock externaly when I bought it too, stock intake, stock exhaust manifolds, stock catback ect... Kinda wierd

Also, there is no such thing as a cam too small for ported heads. ANY cam will take advantage of the extra breathing. It's just that the bigger cams will benefit more, but they might come with adverse daily driving results.

You should make the cam decision based on how you drive the car. I drive
a lot of stop and go rush hour traffic and the 227 is perfect. I see all the
posts where people say the big cams are very streetable but now that I know
how the 227 performs, I doubt that you could do what I do with a 220/230
cam. It's the 112 centerline that gets you. Maybe something on a 114, but
definately not a GM847 or CC306.
The 227 pulls strong up to 6,000. The first time I stood on it after the cam
install I hit the rev limiter before I could make the 1-2 shift.
